Please read these Terms carefully. By downloading or using KhonaiMo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of KhonaiMo, a mobile application for shared household management ("the App," "Service"). By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use KhonaiMo. By using the Service, you represent that:
- You are at least 13 years old
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- All information you provide is accurate and current
3. Your Account
You create a KhonaiMo account by signing in with your Apple ID via Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure, since it controls access to your KhonaiMo account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at akbarteam25@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Each person may maintain only one KhonaiMo account. Creating multiple accounts for the same person is not permitted.
You may delete your account at any time via Profile Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data is removed.
4. Houses and Membership
KhonaiMo allows you to create or join a shared household ("House") using a unique house code. By joining a House, you understand that:
- All members of your House can view your display name, email address, and profile photo
- All members can see expenses, tasks, and house information within the House
- The house owner (creator) has elevated permissions, including the ability to remove members, promote or demote admins, and manage house information
- Sharing a house code with someone grants them access to join your House
You are responsible for keeping your house code secure and only sharing it with people you trust.
5. User Content
"User Content" means any data, text, photos, or other information you submit to the Service, including expense records, receipt images, task details, task completion photos, and house information.
You retain ownership of the content you create. By submitting content to KhonaiMo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display it solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. By uploading content, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate anyone's privacy, intellectual property rights, or applicable laws.
Expense amounts and receipts entered in the app are shared with your housemates. You agree to submit accurate financial information to ensure fair expense splitting.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent expense information
- Upload content that is defamatory, harassing, obscene, or violates another person's rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or access the Service in bulk
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Service or its infrastructure
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
7. Expense and Financial Disclaimer
KhonaiMo is not a financial service. The app provides expense tracking and balance calculations as a convenience tool for household budgeting only. It does not constitute financial advice, and we are not responsible for any financial disputes between housemates. All expense entries are entered by users — we do not verify the accuracy of any amounts.
Any financial disputes arising from the use of KhonaiMo are solely between the users involved. We are not liable for any losses resulting from inaccurate expense entries or balance calculations.
8. Intellectual Property
The KhonaiMo app, including its design, code, trademarks, and all non-user-generated content, is owned by KhonaiMo and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
9. Third-Party Services
KhonaiMo uses Google Firebase for authentication, data storage, and push notifications. Your use of the Service is also subject to Firebase's Terms of Service and Google's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Any defects will be corrected
- The Service or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components
- Data stored in the Service will not be lost
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOUSEHUB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of data or expense records
- Financial disputes between housemates
- Unauthorized access to your account
- Service interruptions or downtime
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which, for a free app, is $0.00).
12. Termination
You may stop using KhonaiMo at any time and delete your account as described in Section 3.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is based, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
